Fall Trends for 2014

I know what you’re thinking…”you’re posting about fall already!?”

Sorry break it to you guys, but yes…its getting to be that time of year again…we only have a few more weeks of summer! Kids are going back to school, soon we will be raking our yards.

Because fashion weeks have two major shows, spring/summer and fall/winter, I would like to present to you my top fall trends for 2014.

Fall of 2014 is full of easy-to-wear pieces, and layered pieces, take a look:

Matching: Ever want to have a really matchy-matchy outfit? Well now you can! Get one for fall! Take a look at Jonathan Saunders matchy-matchy outfit from F/W Fashion week!

Leopard: Grab your favorite leopard print shirt or skirt ladies, for (I am pretty sure) 2 or 3 years in a row, leopard should be a print of choice! HOWEVER, do not pair leopard with the above mentioned trend…you don’t want to be mistaken with a REAL leopard…

Pastel: You’re probably thinking, why is pastel a color for fall, shouldn’t it be like, oranges and browns? While yes, those colors are lovely for fall since all the trees are orange red and brown but don’t be afraid to use a little pastel! Wear pastel in a skinny pant or an amazing coat, you will stick out since everyone else associates fall with wearing “fall colors”.

Over-sized Wrap Coat: What else feels better than a great big over-sized coat in a nice soft luscious material? I can’t really think of anything better except being mauled by puppies…or Baptiste Giabiconi…but that’s a different blog (wink). Get an over-sized coat in either the pastels we were talking about earlier, or get a different color or pattern!

Shearling: Also known as sheep (because you shear a sheep…ergo, shearling). Colder weather is coming so why not wear a little bit of sheep fur to keep you away from blustering winds and just those absolute cold days where you feel like if you close your eyes, your lids will freeze together. Fall and Winter 2014 is full of shearling outfits, on boots, jackets and vests.

Tall Crown Hat: I am SO excited hats are coming back into style! My dreams are coming true! Although, these are tall crown hats, meaning, they’re tall, no fascinators or pillbox hats yet…I’ll change that..me and Kate Middleton…Tall crown hats, think cowboy hats or Pennsylvania Dutch hats

Unfortunately fall is on its way meaning so isn’t winter, however keep a few of these trends in mind, you will be like a breath of fresh air to people who are walking around in last seasons trends.
